- One-day international symposium on quantum computing and manipulation by trapped ions was held in RIKEN
On November 28 (Fri), a one-day international symposium entitled "Symposium on quantum computing and manipulation by trapped ions" was held at RIKEN Wako Campus on the topics of fundamental and applied research on atomic ions in ion traps, co-chaired by Tomoya Okino (RIKEN), Takashi Mukaiyama (Institute of Science Tokyo), and Kaoru Yamanouchi (The University of Tokyo). Invited speakers included Prof. Ting Rei Tan, Prof. Kiyotaka Aikawa, Prof. Kunihiro Okada, Prof. Kenji Toyoda, and Mr. Ryosuke Nishimoto.
